SOMETHING TO PONDER
Tony Robbins Gave My Son A Gift
Tony Robbins gave my son a gift.
Here is the backstory.
A few days ago, I posted my son Neal’s affirmations on Instagram… and I got a flood of inbound messages, so I wanted to share it with you.
In fact, this was a video from when he was just 3 years old.
Neal is 9 years old today and he still raps this out every morning with just as much enthusiasm and energy. His 4-year old sister Lara is mesmerized by it and you can be darn sure she has it memorized too.
I got a chance to hang out backstage with Tony Robbins at Business Mastery many years ago and I asked him the question:
“What would be one thing I should teach my young son?”
Tony literally gave me this script and I taught it to Neal verbatim.
I am a gladiator
Winter is my season
This is my time
I will not be denied
I am alive
I am excited
and I am full of energy
They grow up fast. Teach them good stuff early.
All the best,
Sharran “grateful to be Dad” Srivatsaa
THE QUICKEST PATH TO FAILURE
Trying to please everyone is one of the quickest paths to failure.
You’re stunting your own growth by doing so…
And if you think you’re guilty of this…don’t blame yourself.
Society has conditioned us to think we should conform to what’s “normal”.
We’re told we need to behave a certain way…
That we need to reach certain expectations…
And if we don’t, everyone around us will judge us.
But here’s the thing…
No one became successful by listening to everyone else’s opinions.
So if you don’t want to have an average life…
You have to either make the choice to please everyone…
Or to live your own truth.
I wouldn’t be where I am today if I cared too much about what other people say.
And the end of the day, it’s your life…
So why let others ruin it for you?
