I was reading this awesome article on the best email marketing pieces that were sent in 2017. Its fascinating that in just a few years, I feel like I have become a better marketer, a better tester, a better creator, and also a better consumer. I don’t say that in a braggadocios kinda way at all. I say that with some level of personal shock because I have been working on this day in and day out… thinking, testing, doing, understanding, and then teaching/coaching my teams on this topic.
Simply put, I did the work. I read reports like this, I test and implement… and because of that I have a better understanding that the 99.9% of the population that didn’t do the work.
Before you take a peek at these emails below, let me frame what you are reading… you don’t need to like any of these campaigns. You don’t need to think they are amazing or cool in anyway. In fact, you may be annoyed and irritated by one or even more of them. Also remember, you may not be the target audience which is why you may have a polarizing reaction. But that doesn’t change the fact that each of these campaigns delivered insane results. But there is something to be learned from each campaign so when you see it as a marketer, creator or even a consumer, you know what someone is doing to influence you.
